This Privacy Policy explains how BRDeals collects, uses, stores and protects personal data.

1. Who We Are

BRDeals is a marketplace platform focused on connecting Brazilians living abroad and helping them find more trustworthy local opportunities.

2. Data We Collect

We may collect the following categories of personal data:

  • account and profile data, such as full name, email address, password hash, profile photo, phone or WhatsApp number, country and preferred language;
  • listing and marketplace data, such as category, location, price, images, moderation status and visibility preferences;
  • payment and billing data, such as purchase history, premium and promoted listing data, and transaction references;
  • technical and usage data, such as IP address, browser, device, access logs, session data and visited pages.

3. How We Use Your Data

  • create and manage user accounts;
  • authenticate users;

  • improve the platform and user experience;

Some information may be displayed publicly on the platform, such as listing content, public advertiser name, public profile and reviews or testimonials.

Phone or WhatsApp details are shown only when the user has specifically authorized public display. Users are responsible for the information they choose to publish.

6. Email Verification and Security Measures

We may use email verification and other security measures to confirm account authenticity, reduce fraud and fake listings, and improve trust on the platform.

We may also use moderation tools and automated checks to identify suspicious or prohibited content.

7. Sharing of Data

We may share data with:

  • service providers necessary to operate the platform;
  • hosting, storage and infrastructure partners;
  • payment processors such as Stripe;
  • security, analytics or communication tools when necessary;
  • public authorities or legally authorized third parties when required by law.

8. Data Retention

We keep personal data only for as long as necessary for account management, platform operation, legal compliance, fraud prevention and dispute resolution.

Even after a deletion request, some data may be retained when legally required or operationally necessary.

9. User Rights

11. Cookies and Similar Technologies

BRDeals uses strictly necessary cookies and local storage for authentication, security, basic operation and recording choices made on this device.

Optional cookies are disabled by default. In this version, no analytics tool, pixel or marketing tracking is active; this category is reserved only for possible optional external analytics.

The consent decision is stored only on this device, contains no personal data and is not sent to the server in this version. Choices can be changed at any time through the “Cookie preferences” link in the footer.

12. Internal Listing Metrics

BRDeals keeps aggregated internal metrics for listing views and contact interactions so advertisers can monitor the operational performance of their listings. This feature does not use an external analytics tool, tracking cookie or persistent browser identifier.

To reduce repeated counts, a temporary pseudonymized identifier is produced on the server with HMAC. IP addresses and User-Agent values are not stored in raw form for this deduplication; the temporary hash is deleted after expiry, while aggregated totals do not identify visitors.

Counts may exclude repeated access, listing owners, administrators and known automated traffic. This is an operational safeguard and does not eliminate every possibility of automation or fraud.

13. Data Security

We adopt reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal data against unauthorized access, misuse, loss, alteration and improper disclosure.

However, no system is completely secure, and users should also take reasonable precautions to protect their accounts and devices.

14. Third-Party Services

The platform may integrate third-party services, including payment providers, authentication tools, communication services, hosting and analytics solutions.

These third parties may process personal data under their own terms and privacy policies.

15. Changes to This Policy

BRDeals may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available on the platform.
